The Marine Forces Manual describes the Commander Information Command as follows:
“The COINFOCOM is responsible for coordinating and directing activities in communications. Specifically, he moderates the Corps list server and IRC channel, maintains the Corps website and provides for a method of electronic communications and the timely distribution of the SFMC Newsletter.”
Information Command Mission Statement
Information Command (INFOCOM) provides the resources necessary to communicate the STARFLEET Marine Corps goals, activities, etc… through the ever-changing world of communications. To accomplish this INFOCOM uses the latest technology available to it to provide the Corps with an Internet infrastructure, audio/video projects, printed resources, and whatever the future may bring in the terms of communications.
Assistant Deputy Officers in Charge
Infocom Support Staff will now be sub-divided into three areas and each area will have its own Officer in Charge and command structure of their choosing. The leader of the area will be known as the Assistant Deputy Officer in Charge (ADOIC) and will report directly to the DCOINFOCOM. The three areas will be known as Administration, Web, and Print.
